In the time of Club Med

In the Seventies, this France-based chain of casual resorts was primarily designed to attract singles,. Though over the years since then it has become much more of a family resort, this is what it was like back then.

Getting there involved passing through spectacular tropical cloud formations…


Once you arrived, you stayed in little casitas like this
Evening entertainment was organized by the staff, which included a lot of gifted amateurs
At every sunset, classical music on the beach
Alternatively, you could go off by yourself
Sailing was a major activity

Flowers were everywhere…
