As we approach Portovenere by trail, we see the islands of Palmaria, Tino, and tinetto lined up.
Leaving Riomaggiore
We pass a poppy field as we climb to the Sanctuary of Montenero.
At the top of the ridge we join the Road of the Sanctuaries, a trail that statrs in Monterosso al Mare and connects the top of every Cinque terre village. But we will take it from this point above Riomaggiore toward Portovenere.
